Chenxu Zheng joined the University of Sydney Business School as a Lecturer in the Discipline of Business Information Systems in February 2025.
Zheng conducts research on the future of work and the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI). His work examines how the development of generative AI influences organizations and employees from a human capital perspective, while also exploring scalable interventions that maximize benefits and mitigate negative impacts of using GAI. His recent papers use experiments and econometric modelling methods to study the social implications of using generative AI in human reasoning process.
He has published his works in the proceedings of premium IS and management conferences, such as the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS) and the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AOM).
He received his BBM in Information Management and Information Systems from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and his PhD in Information Systems and Analytics from the National University of Singapore.
