Dr Claire Liu

Dr Claire Liu is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Finance at the University of Sydney Business School. She received her PhD in Finance from University of New South Wales in November 2018. Prior to joining University of Sydney, she held positions at University of Technology of Sydney and University of New South Wales. Claire’s research interests are in the broad area of empirical corporate finance. She has published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Financial Studies. Her research papers have also received best paper awards from several conferences.

Claire’s research interests are in the broad area of empirical corporate finance, including institutional investors, shareholder voting, board of directors, executive compensation, product markets, and political connections.
