Emeritus Professor

Murray Wells was a Professor in Accounting with The University of Sydney from 1975-1996 and Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Business from 1988-1990. He was also the Foundation Director of The University of Sydney Graduate School of Business from 1988 to 1997. He still maintains regular contact with the Discipline of Accounting in a variety of roles, which include Emeritus Professor; Consulting Editor of the Abacus journal; Management Board member of the Australian Accounting Review journal; and active member of the Pacioli Society. His principal areas of interest include Accounting History, Financial and Cost Accounting Theory and Corporate Governance.
