Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2024 Judy Harris Writer-in-Residence Fellowship at the Charles Perkins Centre are now open and will close at 11:59pm on Monday 8 April 2024. The Fellowship was first established in 2016 to foster collaboration between Australian creative writers and researchers at the Charles Perkins Centre to explore issues around health.
The Fellowship welcomes EOIs from Australian creative writers working in all genres including poetry, fiction, memoir, non-fiction, playwrighting and creative non-fiction.
The Fellowship is made possible by the continuing generous support from University of Sydney alumna and patron Judy Harris.
The Fellowship now counts amongs its alumnae seven Australian writers across genres including fiction, poetry and playwrighting: Charlotte Wood, Mireille Juchau, Alana Valentine, Emily Maguire, Tracy Sorensen, Sarah Holland-Batt and the current writer-in-residence, Lech Blaine.
The Fellowship supports an established Australian creative writer to develop a new piece of work while in residence at the Charles Perkins Centre, Australia's leading multidisciplinary Centre, dedicated to easing the global impact of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease and their related conditions through innovative research and teaching.
