Professor Trudy Rebbeck

Professor Trudy Rebbeck is a clinician-researcher with dual roles. Role 1: Professor of Clinical Translation in Allied Health, Sydney School of Health Sciences, and John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research (Kolling Institute), Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney (0.6FTE). Here I lead a programme of research engaging over 30 clinical partners to develop and implement models of care for whiplash, musculoskeletal and traumatic conditions. Current additional appointments include Implementation Science Academy Fellow (Sydney Health Partners), Franklin Women’s mentor and Research Integrity Advisor.

Role 2: Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Educator (0.4FTE), Australian Specialist Physiotherapy Education. I provide complex musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessments and reviews for primarily traumatic musculoskeletal disorders including whiplash, neck pain, headache, dizziness, concussion and low back pain. I also run an international educational programme in this area (Appendix 2). I am also appointed as a Medical Assessor and am one of only two allied-health professionals appointed to the Medical Review Panel for the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) of NSW.
