Dr Bashi Kumar-Hazard lectures in civil procedure, evidence and competition law at the Sydney Law School. She is the co-Advisor to Indigenous Law Students, and a member of the Sydney Law Review, Sydney Centre for International Law, Law Council of Australia (Business Law Section) and the Law Society of NSW. Her research interests are in competition law, consumer and human rights, informed consent and gender-based violence. Dr Kumar-Hazard was invited to give evidence to the NSW Select Committee into Birth Trauma in 2023. Her written submissions on the human rights of pregnant women to respectful treatment and informed consent were extensively cited in the Final Report.
