Thesis title: Antimicrobial stewardship in Australia
Supervisors: Andrew McLachlan, Jonathan Penm
Thesis abstract:
Antimicrobial medicines are a precious resource used every day all over the world to effectively treat infections in humans. They have enabled advances in modern medicine that would not otherwise be possible. Little research has been done to look into outcome measures of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) programmes. The hypothesis is that AMS improves patient outcomes.
