Healthy volunteer MRI quality assurance

Supporting the PRISM Clinical Trial
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the liver is challenging due to breathing motion. In this study we want to find the best setup for high quality liver MRI.

The MRI setup will be applied to participants of the Personalised Liver Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging: The PRISM clinical trial (ACTRN12619000701123, anzctr.org.au).

Volunteers will have one MRI scan of their abdomen at Westmead Hospital. The scan will take approximately 1 hour.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Over 18 years old
  • No known liver disease
  • Have no history of claustrophobia, metallic implants, or other reason for not being able to have a MRI
