- Enhancing students’ chemistry visualisation. Chemistry concepts, such as molecules and their interactions are inherently abstract due to their submicroscopic nature. This project explores the development and use of innovative 3D visualisation technology, immersive Virtual Reality, for enhancing chemistry students’ experiences and conceptual understanding.
- Alternative assessment strategies in chemistry education. This project explores the benefit of diagram-drawing activities for assessing conceptual understanding in chemistry education.
- Pedagogical content knowledge in chemistry laboratory instruction. This research explores individual and systemic influences on the development of pedagogical content knowledge among laboratory demonstrators in undergraduate chemistry programs.
- Students’ development of core chemistry competencies. This longitudinal project explores how and when undergraduate chemistry students develop key chemistry skills during their undergraduate study programs.
- CHEM1, CHEM2, CHEM3 Laboratory supervision
- Director of First-Year Chemistry Laboratories
