Dr Alicia Montgomery

Dr Montgomery is an academic developmental paediatrician in the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and Sydney Local Health District. Her research focuses on data-driven approaches to parsing heterogeneity in the context of transdiagnostic neurodevelopmental conditions, and on the implementation and evaluation of equitable models of care to enhance quality and access to paediatric neurodevelopmental health services. Dr Montgomery has served on the Australian ADHD Professionals Association Board as liaison to the Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Chapter of Community Health. She also serves as an Editor for the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health. Whilst maintaining ongoing clinical roles as a developmental paediatrician, Dr Montgomery has over 40 publications and 700 citations since 2018. As an early career researcher, Dr Montgomery has secured $50k in grant funding via the Autism CRC as CIA, and was awarded an NHMRC RACP Fellows Research Entry Scholarship of $24000 (reflecting part time candidature) in 2020. She is also an AI on NHMRC grant 2018/GNT1153419 worth $2.4m and on a Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation grant PRG11219 worth $200k. Dr Montgomery has experience in leading clinical trials, systematic reviews, epidemiological studies, empirical subgrouping studies, and mixed-methods evaluation of health systems in the context of community paediatrics.
