Annemarie has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) (Honours) from the University of Sydney. She works currently as a speech pathologist and research officer at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Institute. She has worked clinically with children and adults with complex communication needs and neurological disorders across both the UK and Australia. Annemarie recently completed her PhD through Flinder's University, exploring literacy instruction for children with developmental disabilities.

- Early intervention for communication and cognition;
- Augmentative and alternative communication;
- Literacy intervention for children with developmental disabilities;
- Accessible literacy intervention utilising assistive technology.
