Mrs Brooke McGregor

Brooke is an Associate Lecturer (Education) at the University of Sydney within the Public Health faculty. Brooke is also also a PhD student at the University of Sydney within the Medicine and Health faculty. Her research interest are related to women's health specifically exercise and physical activity within pregnancy, postpartum times, and pregnancy loss.
She has taught a broad range of subjects, including research methodologies, evidence-based practice, exercise science and physiology, motor development and ageing, sociology, epidemiology, and public health at both the University of South Australia and the University of Sydney
Her research interests revolve around women's health, particularly focusing on exercise and physical activity during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and pregnancy loss.
For her Master of Research program, she investigated the experiences of elite female athletes regarding pregnancy and motherhood. She conducted a scoping review of 40 studies, encompassing a mix of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodologies, exploring themes of pregnancy, motherhood, and elite sports. Additionally, she completed a qualitative phenomenological research study that examined the lived experiences of geographically diverse elite female runners during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
She is now undertaking a PhD at the Univieristy of Sydney, where she looking tosupport women with physical activity and exercise following pregnancy loss using mixed-methodologies.
Brooke currently works as an Assoiciate Lecturer within the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney .
She previously worked as an Online Tutor & Course Coordinator for the University of South Australia Online and academic tutor in the Allied Health and Human Performance department at the University of South Australia.
