Associate Professor University of Melbourne
A/Prof Nickson is a cancer epidemiologist with a background in mathematics, recognised for her expertise in cancer screening evaluation and her novel and multidisciplinary approaches to solving problems in this domain. She leads the Daffodil Centre Breast Cancer Policy and Evaluation stream, heading a team of expert research and communications personnel. She and her team work closely with public health researchers, health services, policy makers, clinicians and scientists, aiming to reduce the burden of breast and ovarian cancer.
Cancer epidemiology, cancer screening evaluation, population modelling, policy evaluation, breast cancer, ovarian cancer
