I am trained in psychology and public health. I lived most of my life in South Africa, and I have a strong ongoing research / teaching focus on health in southern Africa, with increasing links in south-east Asia. My research interests are in communicable diseases affecting children, adolescents, and their families, especially tuberculosis. I am the course coordinator for the elective unit GLOH5112 - Global Communicable Disease Control in the MGH / MPH programmes.
