Dr Jennifer Ong

Jennifer is a registered pharmacist and academic at the University of Sydney. She is involved in teaching and curriculum development for palliative care at the Sydney Pharmacy School. Her research involves conducting clinical studies which generates evidence to support the delivery of high-quality care to people at the end-of-life, in a holistic manner through pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. She is interested in multidisciplinary primary palliative care, compassionate communities and the public health approach to palliative care. She has also completed the introductory course in Clinical Pastoral Education.

Jennifer teaches the palliative approach to healthcare, management of common symptoms at end of life and Mental Health First Aid in the Pharmacy programs.

She is also involved in the supervision of Honours and postgraduate student projects.
