Dr Jolyn Hersch

I am a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in communicating about overdiagnosis, particularly in breast cancer screening, and in the development and evaluation of decision support tools.

My studies have spanned cognitive and health psychology through to public health, with training in health behaviour models, qualitative research, health economics, biostatistics and epidemiology.

I am particularly interested in the issues of overdiagnosis (also known as overdetection) and overtreatment, and communicating information about these issues to the public.
