Details

Dr Kothur is a paediatric neurologist. She completed a PhD in the development of cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers in paediatric neurological disorders. Her research is focussed on genetic testing in refractory epilepsy, functional genomics, improving seizure, social and cognitive outcomes following epilepsy surgery and understanding role of inflammation in epilepsy. She aims to translate reteach into the practice of personalised medicine of epilepsy.

She has key collaborations with A/Prof Bruce Bennett (Molecular genetics laboratory), Sarah McIntyre (CPAlliance), Dr Deepak Gill (Epilepsy), Prof Sunny Lah (Psychosocial outcome), Prof Patrick Kwan (Genomics), and Prof Mary Collins (GABAR functional genomics).

Epilepsy in Cerebral Palsy: defining prevalence and risk factors, quality of life, and subgroups of genetic and surgically remediable epilepsy
