Clinical Associate Professor
Sydney Medical School
Westmead Clinical School
Faculty of Medicine and Health

A/Prof. Stuart graduated in 1996 from the University of New South Wales. She is a Radiation Oncology Staff Specialist, sub-specialising in Breast Cancer and works at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute and the Department of Radiation Oncology, Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre, Westmead Hospital.

A/Prof. Stuart is particularly motivated by the recent improvements in breast radiation therapy: inverse planning intensity modulated radiation therapy, volumetric modulated arc therapy planning and treatment, cone beam CT for evaluation of accuracy, hypofractionation, 4D planning (deep inspiration breath-hold techniques). She was Head of the Spinal Stereotactic Radiation Therapy Programme at Westmead Hospital.

Research is a strong ongoing interest;A/Prof.Stuart completed a research PhD in Medicine in 2015 through the University of Sydney in the Management of Ductal Carcinoma in Situ of the Breast. She continues to collaborate in the creation and review of management guidelines with Cancer Australia.

For nine years, A/Prof.Stuart was a Radiation Physics Expert and Examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology – Faculty of Radiation Oncology; and she was on the working group and the editorial committee to establish the new Radiation Oncology Curriculum and assessments (2005-2009).
