Dr Leanne Dwan

Dr Leanne Dwan is a clinical biomechanist and early career researcher. She is the director of the Paediatric Gait Analysis Service of NSW at the Children's Hospital, Westmead. Dr Dwan has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, and a Masters in biomechanics where she investigated 3D measurement of upper limb movement in children. In 2021 she completed her PhD investigating measurement of hip health in children with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease and Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis. Leanne’s vision for her research career is to address clinically relevant questions to assess and inform treatment outcomes for people with movement disorders.
