Associate Professor Megan Smith

Associate Professor Megan Smith is an epidemiologist and simulation modeller with extensive experience in policy evaluations for cervical cancer prevention, including screening and HPV vaccination. More than 10 specific policy decisions have been based on the findings of these evaluations. A/Prof Smith is a member of five national or state-level committees/ advisory groups, has given multiple invited presentations to national cervical screening program advisory groups, and authored more than 140 publications.

Improving and optimising prevention of cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers, with a focus on equity and efficiency.

A focus on translational research - evaluation of potential future policy options and then of how well policy changes are implemented.
