Dr Tu Nguyen

Dr Tu Nguyen is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Sydney School Public Health, and is on the Leadership Team of the Sydney Health Partners Geriatric Medicine Clinical Academic Group. She is a geriatrician by training with a research passion in geriatric cardiology, frailty and multimorbidity. She has a broad range of research skills and experiences working on large-scale epidemiological and clinical trial studies. She is a Research Fellow at the George Institute for Global Health in Australia, and Co-Lead of the Frailty and Cardiovascular Disease Research Theme, Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She serves as an Associate Editor for the Australasian Journal on Ageing, and as an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

Dr Tu Nguyen’s primary research interest is the management of cardiovascular disease in older and frail adults. Her research focuses on cardiovascular pharmacology, multimorbidity, frailty, and the application of digital health technologies for the prevention and management of chronic diseases in older people. She is passionate about research to improve health and quality of life for older people in low- and middle-income countries. Additionally, she has an interest in climate change and its impact on cardiovascular health and ageing.
