I started my research journey with Viruses and Immunity group at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University, Canberra. My PhD research focused on gaining insights into the dynamic nature of herpes simplex virus latency, specifically investigating the nature of lytic promoters during the latent phase of the viral cycle and the role of the host protein Dicer in maintaining viral latency within mouse models. After earning my PhD in 2023, I joined the University of Sydney as a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Prof. Barbara Fazekas de St Groth and Dr. Helen McGuire. Here, I am part of a leading lab utilizing the advanced single-cell proteomics platform, Cytometry by Time-of-Flight (CyTOF).

My current research focusses on exploring the role of secreted CTLA-4 in controlling graft-versus-host disease and uncovering the mechanisms behind the lack of response to checkpoint inhibitor therapy targeting the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway in cancer.
