Dr Phoebe Holdenson Kimura

Phoebe Holdenson Kimura is a lecturer in the General Practice Clinical School at the Sydney Medical School. She has an interest in mental health, perinatal health, medical education, professionalism and professional identity development. She teaches into the Sydney Medical School MD program in the GP term and contributes to student wellbeing, communication and professionalism teaching. She regularly teaches and provides formal remediation for GP registrars.

Phoebe is a Staff Specialist at the Hornsby General Practice Unit, providing primary and preventive medical care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, healthcare professionals, people with complex mental health needs and families in the Northern Sydney Local Health District. She is a GP Supervisor for GP registrars and residents there. She has an interest in integrated models of care and sits on the GP Advisory Group for the NSW Health Agency for Clinical Innovation. She is involved with the World Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA) as Vice Chair (Oceania) of the WONCA Young Doctors Movement – Oceania and sits on the Executive of the WONCA Working Party for Mental Health.
