Associate Professor Rebecca Kozor

Associate Professor Rebecca Kozor is a consultant cardiologist at Royal North Shore Hospital Sydney with specialist expertise in cardiac imaging, including cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), cardiac CT, and echocardiography. She co-directs the University of Sydney CMR Group, and leads cardiovascular research with the support of multiple grants.

Associate Professor Kozor obtained her medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2006 and completed her cardiology specialty training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, in 2014. She undertook a CMR clinical research fellowship at Barts Heart Centre, London, United Kingdom in 2015. In 2016, she completed her PhD related to CMR at the University of Sydney. She has level III certification in CMR with the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) since 2017.

She is actively involved in education and advocacy of CMR and cardiovascular research, including being President of the Australia New Zealand Working Group for Cardiovascular MRI, Member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Scientific Committee, and Member of the Education Committee of the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR). She is also an Associate Editor for Cases of SCMR.

She also works as a consultant cardiologist in private practice at Macquarie Heart Chatswood and North Shore Private Hospital.

Her publications can be found in PubMed and Google Scholar, and preprints in medRxiv.
