Her experience in adolescent health research covers areas including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), obesity, metabolic health, physical activity, martial arts, behaviour, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She has designed and conducted numerous clinical trials, observational, public health and validation studies, and meta-analyses. She was an Assistant Director for the FASD Research Australia Centre of Research Excellence, and served on a number of Scientific Advisory Committees. Her current FASD-related work includes national and international collaborations in areas including: FASD prevalence, prenatal polysubstance exposure, behaviour, neurodevelopmental outcomes, comorbidities, a population follow-up study in a remote Aboriginal community, 2D and 3D assessment of facial dysmorphology, a practice change intervention study, public health messaging, and evaluation of the Australian Guide to the Diagnosis of FASD.
